Thank you both for some good writing craft discussion (and several more craft books for me to order--whoo hoo!).

Most of my favorite writers are particularly skilled at stage business, or underpainting, as Diana Gabaldon calls it.

LoriLori Bentonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04714197239425827339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2587083790012339479.post-80705270863649358212008-07-31T06:20:00.000-06:002008-07-31T06:20:00.000-06:00I didn't know it was called staging, but this is s...I didn't know it was called staging, but this is something I've been trying to learn on my own -- glad to see there's a resource for me!

Joanna
http://joannamallory.wordpress.com/Joanna Malloryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09009706543743970845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2587083790012339479.post-25213023656855995272008-07-30T18:37:00.000-06:002008-07-30T18:37:00.000-06:00Hey Mary Ellen, I'm glad you are getting good stuf...Hey Mary Ellen, I'm glad you are getting good stuff from the blogs.

Know what's funny? So many people have been e-mailing and stuff, calling these "interviews" (you didn't, I don't think). But they aren't interviews at all.

I guess it means that people are feeling connected and engaged with the guest bloggers, which is exactly what I want. I'm very happy about it.

I haven't done an interview on
Fiction Matters - for one reason, every one I've read bored me. Even when the person who was being interviewed was someone I really loved reading.

Maybe one day I'll come up with a fun interview format. Something informative, but fun and interesting.

Anyway, not sure why I'm rambling on about interviews.

:)Bonnie Grovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11377519561074174038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2587083790012339479.post-44813696188632783422008-07-30T06:03:00.000-06:002008-07-30T06:03:00.000-06:00Arthur and Bonnie,Thank you both very much for sha...Arthur and Bonnie,
Thank you both very much for sharing this!
