Blog Rolls That Matter

Blogging is more about connections than anything else.

This is what I've heard, and as I've browsed the interweb looking for the useful, the insightful, the compelling, I have to agree.

Thus my decision to start a blog roll.

Tis woefully weensy at the moment, I admit. But Fiction Matters is a blog dedicated to fiction that matters.

In the coming days, I'll be adding blogs to my blog roll that I believe are:
1) Useful. I'm looking for blogs that can add to the experience of writing and reading fiction.

2) Insightful. I'm looking for people who have something to say other than rehashing what everyone else is talking about.

3) Compelling. Well written, well thought out. Interesting. I'm hoping to hear your voice in your blog. Funny is always a plus as well.

Sound like your blog? Drop me a note and I'll check your blog out.

Bonnie, I actually teach a workshop called "The Power of Fiction to Change Lives," and I've written articles for several magazines on why men need to read more fiction, and why fiction matters to Christians.

If you'd like me to post on here sometimes, I do have lots of thoughts. :)

Check out my blog at http://faithfictionfunandfanciful.blogspot.com/

In this blog I am mapping my pathway to publication. Currently I am comparing to tools for creating a manuscript, taking my readers step by step through the process.

N.J. Yes, I'd like you post on here sometimes.
I'd love to hear more about your workshop, its a topic I'm very interested in (in spite of the fact that I read The Nanny Diaries over my vacation instead of the Virginia Woolf novel I have beside my bed! heh heh)

My blog is a hodgepodge of fiction and non-fiction... right now I'm posting parts of a short fiction story, and I've also posted fiction reviews. I'm also always looking for new, interesting blogs about writing, so have been enjoying flipping through yours. Good luck with the blog roll! :)

Hi Bonnie - my blog - www.writer-lee.blogspot.com - has been mostly reviews of fiction with a few personal posts tossed in. I'd be happy to be on the blog roll. Also check out Inscribe's blog and The World Guild. Their not specifically on fiction, but writers talking about writing :)Marcia

Let's try that again. My connection with fiction is mostly book reviews. Don't know if that's a fit with you.

Anyway, if you blogroll me, I'll reciprocate when/if I revive my blogroll (I've had one for years but took it down when I changed templates.)

Hi, Bonnie:

Coming in really late here, but, hey, I just cyber-met you via The Word Guild, and since this is the first of your labels it caught my eye.

I started a writer's blog in March where I post study notes on writing resource manuals, authors-helping-writers interviews and some novel book reviews too, among other things. I hope you'll take a look and let me know if you think what I'm offering would be helpful to beginner writers as that's who I'm gearing it toward. You can check out my website at http://www.eileenastels.com and my blog at http://www.eileenastels.blogspot.com.

By the way, I like your bog template! (Insert smile here!)
