You say it's your birthday?
Da-na-na-na-na-na
It's my birthday too!
Yep. Tis. Honest. It's my birthday. Hurray!
And, for my birthday my hubby has given me a cheap rip off of an Ipod. Called a Zen. Uh, I've just been informed it is NOT a cheap rip off. It actually was quiet expensive.
Anyway, that is SO not my point.
Here's the question. If you could choose any audiobook - anyone at all. . . for FREE (how's that for cheap?) which one would you choose?
Come shopping with me and help me choose my free audiobook! And you could win a free book too!!
Here's what to do:
1) Be like Winnie the Pooh. Go to your thinking spot and think, think, think. Which audiobook is a "must have"? Which book would you choose?
2) Go to my website (http://www.bonniegrove.com/) and find the "What I'm reading now" section of the site (*hint* It's all about ME!). Have a look at the four books I'm reading now.
3) Come on back to this blog and leave a comment telling me which audiobook I shouldn't be living without, and which of the four "What I'm reading now" books from my website YOU would like win most. Be sure to include your e-mail address (or you can e-mail me your address at bcg@bonniegrove.com if you prefer).
If I download YOUR audiobook choice, you win one the book of YOUR choice!
Come shopping with me and win! Ready? Steady. GO!
I bid you good writing.

Hi, Bonnie. Happy Birthday!!! This is awesome. I came to your site, because my daughter told me I should submit as a guest blogger. I don't know if I'll have anything ready by the August 15 deadline (I'll really try), but I'll definitely bookmark your site.
Of the four books you mention, I would love to read "The Almost True Story of Ryan Fisher." I'm not familiar with his work, but the new phenomena of mega churches fascinates me. On one hand, I think they can be a really good thing. I've seen good ones that reach out to people who are not "traditional" churchgoers. It's nice to see young people with blue hair and tattoos find a spiritual home. On the other hand, I'll have to admit that I cringe at some of the commercial things that go on with some of them. Maybe I'm just too old school. I do think there can be a good balance of the old and new.
But the plot of a guy using a mega church for business sounds very intriguing.
I'm not sure it would be the best choice as an audio book, though. The Jane Austen book might be better on audio, since it's more travel related. It sounds like a great read, too.
I won't stomp my feet if I don't win a book, though. HA! I'm just a weirdo who finds sites she likes and comments ad nauseum. I'll try not to do that to you too much.
Take care, and I hope you have a beautiful birthday!!
I've heard Whiskey Sour is pretty good...
