Hip 2B Holy Airs Monday on Global TV

Wondering just how mainstream media sees the Christian church in Canada? A new one hour special to air Monday, May 25 on Global Television may help start discussions on the topic all over Canada. Hosted by Kevin Newman, the special looks at four people, all within what they are calling the Evangelical Movement of Christianity, in Canada. Take a look at these previews. I'm keen to watch the program and then get involved in some of the discussions it will bring up.

I was surprisingly pleased with this show. There have been so many other shows done on the Canadian church scene that have slammed us - remember the ones about the "Toronto Blessing?".

3 years ago my husband and I helped to plant a church in a theater in Calgary. You'd be amazed at the people who will come to a theater and listen to a message rather than coming to an actual 'church' building.

The concept is an amazing one and I love how the beliefs and message stayed the same but they 'culturalized' it. Talk about smart.

We are a culture that need 'real Christians' to stand up and be proud of what they believe, instead of being almost apologetic for being a christian.

What did you think of the show?
