When I was little I used to enforce 'birthday week'. No mere day was enough for me to be able to fully celebrate my grand entrance into this world (I was the youngest, and maybe - just maybe, a tad spoiled).
My family went along with it (for the most part), and I was afforded all sorts of privileges. Like, I didn't have to help with the dishes if I had a paper cut. Or, I got to go first in line at the waterslide. Or, Mom would spring for tickets to a movie I wanted to see even though it would "rot my brain".
In the grand tradition of my youthful exuberance, this is my birthday week! I was born August 5, 19-*cough*.
What's the best gift someone could get me this year? Easy. Just buy a copy of Talking to the Dead!
For those of you in BC, House of James is featuring Talking to the Dead as their Book of the Month for August. Visit them in August, pick up a copy of Talking, and browse their store. I hear it is one of the best Christian stores in Canada!
I bid you good writing.

Happy birthday week!
I still try to spread mine over several days - and my husband is quite willing to assist.

Happy birthday week! My birthday falls 2 days before Valentine's Day so, I don't get a full week but 3 days isn't bad.:0) Have a fun week! I'm reading Talking to the Dead. Loving it!
So... all I need to get you is a copy of Talking to the Dead?
Hmmmmm...
Thanks so much Diane! Sounds like you've got a wonderful hubby.
Nichole: Thank you! Glad to hear you are enjoying Talking. :)
Steve: NO. YOU have to do much, much more than that for my birthday. I'm prepared to be dazzled! :)
Happy birthday, Bonnie! My birthday was August 3rd but I suspect was a decade or so earlier than yours. I only got one day but my family did spoil me. I hope that your day (or week!) is also great.
